Speaking of the best.. Bablo is good but DS is not even close the top10 eu's

It was advertised a lot on EU community too and a lot of EU people voted in it. And if DS isn't even close to top 10, you aren't even close to top 50. My personal opinion. |

Actually I don't think he's the best, in matter of fact I don't think there's any single the best player, it's not that simple and there's no way to single out "the best" player. There are good players, bad players, and players between them. Some players obviously shine more than others though, but i.e. good teamwork can compensate for lack of individual skill between two players. Unfortunately the characteric of being able to work as a team, for your team, depending on situations is often overlooked when discussing of the best players. Many people think that killing the enemy is all it takes, and granted if it was, DS wouldn't be one of the top players, because I think there are many players that are more suited for the one man army title. So yeah, I do think that attitude and ability to play for your team, and not only for yourself, are very important aspects. I wouldn't like to play with a player who brags about his own skills all the time, puts down other players, or has a retarded attitude generally. I much rather play with someone who encourages you when you're doing badly, doesn't belittle players publicly, and has a friendly attitude generally.
I apologize if I offended you by saying you're not in the top 50. It seems that you missed the point that I wasn't speaking literally, I was speaking figuratively. You belittled another player publicly and were rude for no reason, which is something that I personally despite, so I felt like that someone had to show you your place too. And perhaps you've never claimed to be one of the top players (neither has DS btw, so that remark was kind of uncalled for), but it's obvious that it shows in your general attitude that I've seen on IRC. I've often seen you belittle other players, sounding like you're superiour to everyone. As I said before, I don't think there's a way to single out one best player, but the community apparently considers DS as one of the better players, and it's obvious that not everyone can agree with it though, and I don't blame them for that. Everyone has a right for an opinion. But I despite when people belittle other players publicly, because they think they're all that. So don't make yourself look like a jackass by belittling other players, instead show some consideration from time to time and say what you want to say in a more sophiscated manner.
This sounds like a stupid lecture, and maybe it even was one, and I probably aren't the best person to even say this since I can't defy that I'm Mr. Nice Person all the time either. But it seriously pisses me off when someone who's a good player (yes I do consider you as one of the better players) has the need to be rude and belittle another fellow player because he disagrees with the majority of the community. What can be the cause of that? Either you're trying to force your opinion, or you're just jealous. But seriously, cut it out, not for me, not for DS, but for your own good and for the community. Trust me, you'll have more friends and respect when you're nice to people. Granted, sometimes it also puts you in more painful situations.  |
