I just wanted to say that i really enjoyed playing in this league, because at no time did i feel the rules were unfair or unbalanced and thats a difficult thing to do.
(Especially in a game like soldat Wink )

It must be very hard to pull off something this big, so well.
Therefore i'd like to thank the admins for doing such a good job.
(Maybe we should take more note of their efforts)

And I wish luck to everyone in the play-offs =]

GGs Very Happy

Just some stats:

Asy - 3,6 matches/day
LP - 3,1 matches/day
AE - 3,7 matches/day
#BC.Cr3w - 3,4 matches/day
{EF} - 2,6 matches/day
|MG| - 3,3 matches/day
SW - 3,1 matches/day
SM - 2,3 matches/day
SN - 2,5 matches/day
SoB| - 3,2 matches/day
war| - 2,4 matches/day
Ap/ - 2,8 matches/day
pr0phecy - 3 matches/day
[NMS] - 4,2 matches/day
mOOps. - 3 matches/day
R7. - 2,25 matches/day

Of course there are some clans that won't ever reach playoffs. A medium of 3 matches per day for all clans in playoffs. Is that what u call active? Surprised That's a madness. It's obvious that some clans can't play that hard. I'm not talking only about us, since we don't really care about sctfl anymore since it has freeplay. But please think in those numbers for the next season.

How did you count them? Days in free play = 42

The averages are:

Asy/ - 2.809524
|LP| - 2.357143
AE/ - 2.880952
#BC.Cr3w - 2.619048
{EF} - 2.02381
|MG| - 2.571429
[SW] - 2.428571
~/SM\~ - 1.761905
(SN) - 1.928571
SoB| - 2.452381
war| - 1.880952
Ap/ - 2.166667
pr0phecy - 2.357143
[NMS] - 3.261905
m00ps. - 2.285714
R7. - 1.714286

So the average would be around 2 matches per day, which isn't THAT much. Yeah, I admit it's a fair amount of matches and activity is definitely required. I see your point though and we'll probably discuss this, but also keep in mind that SCTFL free play greatly impacts the activity in the clan scene.

And thanks for your kind words, s0ulblade. Smile

Oh, my mistake. Though it was 32 days for freeplay. But still, 2 matches a day isn't that much? Come on. Razz Thanks for discussing it.

2 matches for day isn't that much. Some clans actually played 5/6 matches for sctfl in one day. And 2 matches means a little more than 1 hour online, maximum 1 hour and a half (if you play both matches in a row). If your roster is large enough, you have no problem in accomplishing this. Cool

What if your clan doesn't play for 2 days. In that case you have to play the whole afternoon in saturday or sunday. lol Who wants to spent one afternoon playing soldat?
Anyway, this is just a point, don't face it as a complaint in our case.

Rules:
*Clans must have a minimum of 3 players in order to sign up for SCTFL.

Well, I really agree with Taxi on this one. Despite enjoying all season this time, I don't think this free play thingy is nearly fair. Of course it's a way of avoiding that old-rusty playoff system, which 90% of nowadays leagues use, but I still don't like it. And why, you may ask.
The answer is pretty obvious. I do agree 2 matches per day aren't that much, since you only need, let's say, 40 minutes for each game. That would make 1.2 hours a day, dedicated to soldat. If you add the training time (which we all need I guess, playing some gather or shooting ducks at a public server), you need some extra time. Numbers aren't huge. In fact, they're far away from being scary, for the average people. In my case, though, I have no time to do it frequently, since I need to work for university almost 24/7, during the week.
And yes, SW are qualified to playoffs, because we have a group of 8/9 players that combine their free time to play cws. But for a smaller clan (concerning roster), it's impossible to reach this level, if you're not a mental diseased person, with no life.
But you could say it's everyone's problem I guess. Hire some more members, or whatever.

Above all, and this is the most important, a clan should be rewarded by demonstrated skill, not activity. The ones who play the most, in some cases aren't skilled enough to reach such position, I might say. And that's my point. It's true that with activity comes skill, but be honest, it doesn't always work that way.

Let me congratulate admins as well, since they really did a good management job and always acted rapidly, in order to solve misunderstandings.
And let us start with playoffs!

I remember a few days when we played 14 or 15 matches, and actually I wanted more, but it was harder and harder getting opponets after those high amount of matches what we have played. SCTFL was great so far, at least it made the whole scene damn active and kept us motivated, I really enjoyed it. But I would say, 2+2 would be better for freeplays than 3+3, it was really hard to mantain that amount of activity especially in the last one or two weeks when most of the scores / standings have settled.

It's true that SCTFL freeplay is an activity contest, but the only way skilled clans can show their skill is to play actively. Remember that the better win:lose ratio you have, the less matches you need to play. Being active is just something that can be used to compensate for losses. Also while it's obviously the point to have the best clans in playoffs, it'd be wrong to let clans who are inactive no matter how skilled they are play in playoffs if others try their hardest to earn their place (for example we all know how good leet are, but they were very inactive this season. Do you think they should be in playoffs just because they outskill many clans in there?)

Also, I want to say this just for fun.

For the whole season, the problem (at least for me) wasn't that there was too much to play but finding a match was too hard. I seriously wanted to play a lot more but sometimes finding a clan war could take 30 minutes which is just ridiculous.
